Flyball at the Fairgrounds
On May 9th & 10th, ARFF attended Flyball at the Fairgrounds, hosted by New England Trailblazers and Canine Mutiny, and held in Greenfield, MA. Despite the 50 mph wind gusts that threatened to carry away our canopy, we had a blast hanging out at the fairgrounds with fellow flyballers. We managed to have fun in the lanes as well, with a number of our dogs racking up some serious points and adding to their titles. Here are the highlights from the weekend:
- ARFF Tug Thugs placed 3rd in Open Division 2 after a 3-way tie breaker. We'd like to say thanks to Chrissy and her dog, Isa, from Boston Stragglers for running with us.
- ARFF Muttley Crew placed a respectable 4th in Regular Division 2 amid some stiff competition.
Eika finally finished a tournament without any blood (well, almost) and came home with her FDCH. - Congrats to Mandy, Connor, Rockit, and Acorn, who all came home with their FDCH-S titles.
We were all proud of team captain Barb Black's green dog, Whit, when he completed warm-ups on an Open team with our good friends from Boston Stragglers. Then, when he was thrown into the line up at the end of the second day of racing, not only did he prove he's got the stuff and successfully complete his runs, he helped the team win a couple of heats and brought home his FD! Great job everyone!
